By registering for, accessing, or using IITD Prom Match (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Platform.

1. Explicit Non-Affiliation

IITD Prom Match is an independent, student-created, and student-run initiative. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) or its administration. The use of "@iitd.ac.in" email addresses is strictly for limiting access to current students and does not imply institutional backing.

2. Assumption of Risk & No Background Checks

You acknowledge that the creator(s) of this Platform do not conduct criminal background checks, identity verification beyond an email domain check, or psychological screenings on its users.

• You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline.
• You agree to take reasonable precautions in all interactions. We strongly advise that any real-world meetups occur in well-lit, public campus spaces.
• We cannot and do not guarantee the true identity, intentions, or safety of any matched individual.

3. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall the creator(s), developers, or administrators of this Platform be held liable for any damages, losses, or harm (including but not limited to emotional distress, physical harm, data breaches, or reputational damage) arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform.

By using this Platform, you agree to release the creator(s) from any claims, demands, and damages of every kind and nature, known and unknown, arising out of any dispute you have with another user.

4. User Conduct & Private Chat

While we provide a private chat feature for your convenience, you agree to use it respectfully. You strictly agree NOT to:

• Harass, bully, stalk, or intimidate other users.
• Send explicit, offensive, or unsolicited inappropriate content.
• Share another user's private information, messages, or identity without their consent.

We do not actively monitor private chats. However, if a user is reported for abusive behavior, we reserve the right to access chat logs for investigative purposes and permanently ban the offending account without notice.

5. "As-Is" Service

The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the uptime, bug-free nature, or effectiveness of the matching algorithm. We do not guarantee that everyone who registers will receive a match.

6. Data Privacy & Account Deletion

Your data (including your name, email, height, preferences, and chat messages) is stored solely for the operation of the Platform. We will never sell your data or share it publicly.

You retain the right to request full deletion of your data from our servers at any time by contacting us through the Feedback form.

7. Right to Terminate

The creator(s) reserve the right to suspend, disqualify, or permanently delete any user account, at any time, for any reason, without warning or liability.
